May 2013 Novice Show Recap

Show Season has begun! Our first show of the year was a great success with fabulous weather and a wonderful location. A huge thank you goes to Townsends Training Farm in Pembroke NH for donating the use of their facility.  We would love to thank the whole volunteer staff. Our shows run on a volunteer basis so without them there would be a lot less smiling faces. Everyone who participated in a class and placed 1-6th received a prize or a ribbon or their choice, which is always a fun alternative to only ribbons. The lead line class was a huge hit; with little kids galore there was plenty of entertainment.

Coming up, NHQHA is offering a fabulous four day show at the Deerfield Fairgrounds in Deerfield NH. This is a change of venue from the past years but we think you will enjoy the spacious show ring, more room for spectators and upgraded stalling. We offer a full slate of AQHA classes as well as open All- Breed classes, both are eligible for end of the year awards from NHQHA! We have also added some classes such as ranch pleasure and reining classes. Money can be tight for exhibitors and parents however,  we offer a great flat rate of $399 which includes stall and so much more!

Looking ahead we have one more show held in September along with clinics, Trail Challenges and trail rides. We want to cater to your needs whether you have a Quarter Horse or not, come join us. Want to get a child more involved with friends and horse activities? Join our NHQHA youth group and become involved we would love to have you.

Photos from this weekend’s show have been posted on our Facebook page. Thank you Jennifer Fisher of Simply Equine Design for photographing our event!
